IABE Impartiality Policy

IABE Impartiality Assurance

At the International Accreditation Bureau of Excellence (IABE), we hold impartiality as a cornerstone of our operations. Upholding confidence and trust is paramount in our pursuit of excellence in accreditation services. Operating on a non-profit basis, IABE’s structure is meticulously designed to insulate our processes from any commercial, financial, or external pressures.

Compliance with ISO 17011:2017 is a central tenet of our commitment. IABE assumes full accountability for the execution of all accreditation activities with unwavering impartiality and objectivity.

To ensure the integrity and impartiality of our services, every member involved in the accreditation process, including external assessors/experts and committee members, is mandated to function without any undue influences that may compromise their ability to act fairly and objectively. Additionally, they are duty-bound to promptly disclose any potential conflicts of interest as they arise.

IABE staunchly refrains from compromising, offering, or engaging in any practices that could compromise our impartiality. Rigorous risk analyses, internal audits, management reviews, and impartiality committee meetings are conducted regularly to assess potential risks to impartiality. Should an unacceptable risk be identified that cannot be mitigated to an acceptable level, accreditation will not be granted.

We assure that our policies, processes, and procedures are free from discrimination and are administered in a manner that is unbiased. IABE extends accessibility to all Conformity Assessment Bodies whose accreditation applications align with the scope of our accreditation activities, as defined by our policies and rules. Access is granted without consideration of the applicant’s size or capital, and accreditation is not contingent on the number of conformity assessment bodies already accredited.

IABE reserves the right to refuse services to a conformity assessment body in cases of proven fraudulent behavior, falsification of information, or deliberate violation of accreditation requirements.

In the event that a customer or stakeholder raises concerns about the impartiality or objectivity of IABE, we have established a comprehensive procedure for handling complaints and appeals, which is readily accessible on our official website.
